Subsidy Seeds Ready For Kharif : Niranjan Reddy
Hyderabad, May 28 (Maxim News): Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today said subsidy seeds for farmers for Kharif season was kept ready. He directed the officials to ensure supply and distribution of adequate stocks of subsidy seeds to farmers.
The minister said the officials will provide adequate stocks of seeds to be distributed among the farmers in the state. He said the officials estimated that about 7.50 lakh quintals of seeds are required for the purpose. For this, the government will bear Rs 174.87-crore burden, he said. He directed the officials to ensure supply of the subsidized quality seeds among all the farmers. There shall not be any delay and complaints from the farmers on the supply and distribution of the seeds he said.
The minister said that 1498 PACS, Mana Gromor, Agro Rythu Seva Kendras will distribute the seeds to the farmers in the state. He attributed the timely supply of the seeds to the foresight of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the past four years. Niranjan Reddy stated that the officials have got 20 to 30 per cent additional stocks of the seeds to avoid shortage or non supply complaint from the farmers. He also appealed to the farmers in the state to make use of the facility. (Maxim News)
