TTD Appeals To Devotees Not To Carry Banned Items To Tirumala

Tirumala, July 19 (Maxim News): The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has appealed to the devotees not to carry banned items to Tirumala as it is legally crime as per AP Endowments Act of Article 30/1987.

Carrying prohibited goods like cigarettes, tobacco, liquor, pan, meat, playing cards, revolver and other explosive material, miming birds and pets etc. are totally banned in Tirumala.

TTD has taken up a wide publicity campaign on the banned goods to bring awareness among the pilgrims who come to Tirumala for darshan of Lord Venkateswara from across the country and overseas.

Even if any pilgrim is found carrying the banned items or involved in the above said crimes, he or she will is liable for punishment. If in the case any pilgrim carries a licensed revolver, he should submit the relevant copies in the nearby police station at the Alipiri Checkpoint-the gateway to Tirumala and get the permission to carry it.

The devotees are requested to make note of the above and co-operate with the TTD. (Maxim News)
