Focus On Quality Education: CS

Hyderabad, July 19 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary SK Joshi today directed the officials concerned to focus on providing quality education across the State as per National Education Policy-2019.

During a review meeting, the Chief Secretary said the officials have to shift their focus to offer quality education in schools and educational institutions. He instructed the officials to prepare a plan on the need for quality education and give priority to vocational education.

Joshi asked the officials to improve standards of education at all schools by making use of technology and see that primary education ensures quality education by using Anganwadi Centers and stressed the need for increasing literacy rate in the State. He sought a new draft plan with regard to Rashtriya Shiksha Ayog, national research foundation, liberal education, accreditation, capable faculty, gross enrollment ratio, skill development, State level plan, Loka Vidya Adult Education, professional education and other related issues.

The State government has priority for education research and prepared the draft with suggestions and inputs from experts and stakeholders. Aim is to bridge gap between universities and industry, focus on expert consultancy services and credit-based curriculum and research, he added. (Maxim News)
