Rajagopal Urges CM To Declare Nalgonda Dt As Drought-Hit

Hyderabad, July 19 (Maxim News): Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on Friday said the projects like Sivannagudem and Krishna-Rampally projects could be completed if the State government sanctioned Rs 100 crore. He alleged that the State government, which promised to complete the two projects within three years, failed to do so.

Rajagopal Reddy urged the Chief Minister to take an initiative to complete the two projects. He also urged the CM to do justice to the displaced farmers of the project in the similar manner as he did justice to Mallanna Sagar farmers. He demanded that the Chief Minister declare Nalgonda as drought-hit district. He said welfare programs were being implemented whenever there were elections in the State.

He also alleged that cheques pertaining to Rythu Bandhu and Kalyana Laxmi schemes were not given to the beneficiaries. Commenting on the issue of not allowing CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in the House, Rajagopal Reddy termed it as unfortunate and added that they would extend support to the State government if it did something for the welfare of the public.
