Marri Deplores KTR’s Reaction On Death Of Women In Metro Accident

Hyderabad, Sept.23 (Maxim News): Former minister and senior congress Leader Marri Shashidhar reddy on Monday condemned the reaction of state Minister KTR on the death of a woman at the Ameerpet metro station. The woman died after a plaster piece fell off a surface of the metro station’s floor. He made it clear that the incident took place due to lack of quality in the construction.

Speaking to media persons, he wondered as to how many such incidents would take place in the days to come. He asked the state government as to who would be made responsible for such incidents. He reminded that the incident took place after the inauguration of the project two years back. He demanded the government to order an inquiry into the issue. He said that the residents of the city were standing beneath the metro piers during rains. He demanded KTR to respond on the issue with complete details.

Another party leader Niranjan alleged that the metro rail authorities didn’t take any action despite similar falling incidents took place earlier. He demanded the state government to pay Rs.50 lakh exgratia to the family members of the victim. (Maxim News)
