CM Confers With Officials, Asks Them To Press More Buses For People’s Convenience

Hyderabad, Oct.30 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today held a meeting on RTC employees’ strike, Samarabheri and alternative transport arrangements for the people.

Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and RTC officials present in the meeting, apprised the Chief Minister of the post-strike situation and arrangements being made for people in the wake of the strike. In the wake of the High Court directing the government to provide all details of arrears, loans, salaries and funds of the RTC by November 1, the Chief Minister discussed with them on the court observations. The CM is learnt to have asked them to press in more number of buses for people as the RTC employees are likely to continue the strike.

The State government has plans to hire private buses to cater to the needs of the people, who are facing a lot of inconvenience and difficulties due to strike by RTC employees. Political parties urged the Centre to intervene and make the KCR Government to concede all the demands of the RTC employees. Keeping the strike in view, the State government is to call in private buses very soon. The Chief Minister directed them to take steps followed by any possible decision by striking RTC employees to call off the strike. (Maxim News)
