Hyderabad, Dec.19 (Maxim News): The High Court today expressed its dissatisfaction with the State government for failure to serve a copy to the police regarding producing the three detenus — D Devendra, M Swapna, who belonged to Chaitanya Mahila Sangam and M Sandeep, general secretary of Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika. The court directed the State police to produce the trio before it on Friday for recording their statements.
Arguing before a division bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice A. Abhishek Reddy, the government counsel alleged that the detenus have Maoists links. The Court passed the order in the habeas corpus petition filed by Chaitanya Mahilala Sangam president Anitha, who is a government teacher and a native of Hanamakonda. (Maxim News)
