Three-Phase Power Supply, Bore-Wells For Tribal Villages Soon: Minister

Hyderabad, Jan.6 (Maxim News): Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathod today said the State government will spend Rs 250 crore to offer three-phase power to tribal villages or Lambada Thandas, to push for farming activity.

Inaugurating two bedroom housing facility constructed at a cost of Rs 2.62 crore on the occasion, the minister said the TRS government decided to spend Rs 105 crore for providing bore-wells and electric motors in tribal villages to support farming, she said.

Satyavathi Rathod addressed a meeting of Palle Pragati second phase in Narsapur of Demmugudem mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district along with Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar. She appealed to local leaders and the people to make use of the program to develop the villages. With a foresight to develop rural areas, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao started this program, she said. “With minister Ajay Kumar’s cooperation, we will complete all works in the villages to have all amenities”.

The minister asserted that Telangana State was giving priority for agriculture, welfare, irrigation and other sectors. The Chief Minister has started several welfare programs for women’s uplift and welfare of children. The leftover works in the first phase were being completed now to develop the villages and increased Anganwadi workers’ salaries. She appealed to them to avoid following other parties which are misguiding for protests. (Maxim News)
