CII To Set Up Entrepreneurship & Start-Ups
Hyderabad, Feb.25 (Maxim News): Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on occasion of CII Start-up Connect announced setting up of Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Start-ups here. While the Center will cater to the entire country, it will have special emphasis on the state for fostering the overall growth of start-up ecosystem in the state.
The Centre will be supported by the State government and Pratiksha Trust, a charitable trust founded by S Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, CII National Start-up Council, Past President, CII and Co-founder – Infosys Ltd. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industry & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT), announced this while addressing at the ‘CII Startup Connect’ held here today.
The primary objectives of the centre would be to support startups with mentoring and other resources, attract most innovative start-ups to collaborate with the corporates and to help corporates identify suitable budding start-ups for forging business partnerships and work with start-ups at the co-working space.
The Centre would also help investors select potential start-ups for committing financial stake, build partnerships with the national and international academic centers of excellence for imparting knowledge to the start-ups and work with the Union and State governments to forge partnerships with foreign governments to launch mutual soft-landing of start-ups. The operations of the Center is expected to start by April 2020. (Maxim News)
