Congress Will Win Upcoming Muncipal Corporation Elections: Uttam
Hyderabad, Aug.16 (Maxim News): TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the party would win in the upcoming GHMC, Khammam and Warangal municipal corporation elections. He also said that the party was preparing for the elections from now . Commenting on the delimitation of wards in the GHMC limits, he alleged that several irregularities had taken place in the delimitation of the wards to benefit some people.
He said that while some divisions has less number of voters some has more number of voters. He urged the party leaders to be on alert mode on the issue of the preparation of the voters list. He also asked them to complete the process is formation of division committees of the party by August 24 of this month. He also asked them to constitute affiliated organisations committees.
Reddy asked the party leaders to send the details of COVID-19 deaths that take place in their areas. He said that the party would fight on behalf of the victims of the virus and take steps to get them ₹10 lakh exgratia. Commenting on the demolition of mosque and Nalla Pochamma temple issue by the state government, he said that they would not only raise the issue in parliament but also fight legally on the issue.
He condemned the statement of MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi welcoming the decision of CM KCR to demolish the mosque. He said that they would give representations to district collectors on August 22 of this month on the failures of the state government and urged the authorities to solve public problems .
He alleged that the ruling party leaders were planning to contest in the urban local body elections with the money they earned as commissions of contractors. Reddy made it clear that the state capital Hyderabad was developed in allround manner during the Congress party rule.
Uttam said Hyderabad had turned into an IT and Pharma hub during Congress rule. But present TRS Govt could not add a single new project worth mentioning during the last six-and-a-half years. He said that the TRS Govt collected lakhs of applications for Double Bed Room houses from poor people before the last GHMC elections. He said not even 1% of applicants were given 2BHK units. Similarly, IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao is now talking about establishing Basti Dawakhanas. He asked as to why Basti Dawakhanas were not established in the last five years although both State and GHMC were under the control of TRS.
The meeting was attended by CLP leader Bhatti Vikaramarka, Working President & MP Revanth Reddy, ex-LoP in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC Vice President Zafar Jaweed, TPCC Minorities Dept Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, Nampally Incharge Feroz Khan and other leaders. (Maxim News)
