UoH Scholar Invited As Adjunct Professor At Asia University
Hyderabad, Sept.19 (Maxim News): Prof. J. Prabhakar Rao, Director, India centre for Excellence in Information Ethics and Head, Centre for Study of Foreign Languages, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has again been invited by Asia University, Taiwan as an Adjunct Professor for the period August 01, 2020 to July 31, 2021 in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. He has visited Asia University in 2019 and 2020 and delivered lectures in linguistics and Translation Studies.
Prof. Prabhakara Rao’s areas of research interest include Linguistics, Translation Studies, Foreign Language Teaching, Higher Education in India and e-Learning. In 2012, Prof. Rao was awarded honoris causa by Krasnodar State University of Arts and Culture, Russia and Honorary Visitor Medal by Kazan State University, Russia.
Prof. Prabhakara Rao is Visiting Professor to many Universities in Europe and Asia and also steering committee member and involved in an India-EU Project (2009–2012) on establishing the “Centre for Contemporary India Studies and Research” at University of Warsaw, Poland. Currently, he is faculty Coordinator of India-EU project on Enhancing Quality, Governance and Access to UG Education in India (2013-2017). Rao has also been appointed as a Member of Advisory Council of Infection Council Academy of India (IFCAI). He was nominated by the Network Executive Committee as Regional Representative of Maaya for Asia. He is also Project manager for Erasmus plus projection HE and COL- CEMCA project for developing online courses.
Prof. Rao is also a member of many international journals. He also took several initiatives such as organising recently IFAP, UNESCO conference, formation of International Consortium on developing online courses on Information Ethics, establishment of Consortium on University Social Responsibility, several programs on Digital wellness etc. (Maxim News)
