Babri demolition: All Accused Acquitted
A special court here delivered the much-awaited judgement today in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case.
CBI judge SK Yadav says the demolition was not pre-planned. The 2000-page verdict being read out.
All 32 accused were facing charges under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy, rioting , promoting enmity between different groups and unlawful assembly. All 26 accused were present in court.
Ashok Singhal and other Sangh Parivar leaders wanted to save the structure as Ram Lalla statues were inside, the court said.
