BJP MP Arvind booked by Banjara Hills Police

Hyderabad: A case has been filed against BJP leader and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind at the Banjara Hills police station on Wednesday under the sections 504, 506 and 427 of IPC.

The complaint was lodged by the TRS leaders for his comments which is said to disrupt peace and communal harmony. Dharmapuri Arvind on Monday lashed out at TRS party for setting up hoardings and flexes at the bus shelters, metro pillars and other places and called his party leaders to damage them. Following which, the BJP workers tore off the banners near KBR park.

Reacting to the incident, the TRS legal cell state secretary Madhusudan and the advocates Kalyan Rao, Lalitha Reddy, Chandrasekhar Rao and Mallesh filed a complaint against the MP. In the complaint, they said that the BJP leader’s move of deliberately tearing down the flexi was made with an intention to disrupt peace and security in the city.

They also said that the TRS party has put up the banners with the permission of GHMC.
