Pre Dasara Celebrations At Tank Bund This Sunday

Hyderabad: Sunday Funday at Tank Bund to get bigger and better this Sunday than the previous weeks. The immensely popular event is promising an even better taste of Telangana’s tradition.

According to Urban Development Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, the attractions for Sunday-Funday on October 10, from 5 pm to 10 pm, would include Bathukamma, dandiya, and garba apart from usual eateries, handlooms and handicraft stalls, laser show and fireworks and also the free sapling distribution by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

The City Police are implementing traffic restrictions along the route, apart from arranging for parking for visitors to the Tank Bund, which has recently been beautified and revamped with several public amenities.

The Sunday-Funday event on traffic-free Tank Bund road on September 26 received a tremendous response with citizens thronging the place in huge numbers with family and friends enjoying every aspect of the event. Following that successful event, MA&UD Department and HMDA is excited to be back with another fun filled Sunday-Funday event for coming October 10 (Sunday).

A number of activities and performances are planned this week as well to mesmerize the public across all age groups and give them a unique and memorable experience. A band performance, fireworks, cultural activities, shopping, games and eateries will all be present at one place come Sunday.

After some amazing performances by the Army Band and RPF band over the past few weeks, the Telangana State Police Band is all set to woo the public this Sunday. This decorated Police Band will be playing for public on Tank Bund mesmerizing them with their instrumental music. In addition to this, there will be a 20-artists team performing Puli Veshalu engaging the public all along the Tank

Bund stretch. Like last time, there will be a Fireworks show as well lasting for up to 3 minutes which can be enjoyed by the public standing anywhere on the Tank Bund road.
