Uttam Kumar questions Center state on paddy procurement

Hyderabad, Nov.18 (Maxim News): Former PCC president and the party MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy today questioned the state and central governments on the issue of the procurement of paddy and asked the two governments as to what they were allocating lakhs of crores of budget for agriculture sector when they were not in a position to buy the paddy from the farmers of the state.

He mocked that the dharna by CM of the state CM KCR at Dharna Chowk in Indira Park was a farce. He alleged that both state and central governments were doing a injustice to the farmers by blaming each other on the issue. He reminded that the ruling TRS party had extended support to the BJP led NDA government at the centre on Several important issues. He alleged that both state and central governments were playing dramas on the issue of the paddy procurement to trouble the farmers.

He demanded the state government to not put any restrictions on the upcoming rabi crops besides procuring the food grains . He made it clear that the congress party would stand by the farmers of the state till they got the justice.(Maxim News)
