Gutha asks centre clarity on paddy issue

Hyderabad, Nov.20 (Maxim News): TRS leader and former council chairman, Gutha Sukhender Reddy today welcomed the decision to repeal farm laws by the centre. Talking to press persons at Nalgonda the ruling party leader demanded that the centre should give clarity on paddy procurement in Telangana state.

He sought to know about centre plan to get paddy stocks from the state as being demanded. He suggested that the BJP leaders should mount pressure on the centre to clear paddy stocks and address farmers issues.

He extended thanks to the TRS boss and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for giving him a chance again as an MLC.

The former chairman attributed the decision to repeal of farm laws to the TRS protests of Maha Dharna by KCR government.

With KCR stating to extend solidarity with farmers at national level, the centre took a call to cancel the farm laws, he said. The centre should purchase our Paddy and give clarity, he asked. The BJP leaders should stop mud-slinging on the government and press the centre to clear paddy.

The TRS leader charged that the BJP and the congress leaders were trying to misguide farmers. We hope that the centre will address the paddy issue soon he said. Reddy alleged that FCI was not lifting paddy it already procured. The BJP government has to take a decision to address the issue of paddy purchase, he added. (Maxim News)
