YS Sharmila consoles farmer Ravi’s family

Hyderabad, Dec.11 (Maxim News): The founder president of YSRTP YS Sharmila today visited the family members of farmer Ravi, who committed suicide at Boguda Bhupathipur village in Haveli Ghanpur mandal of Medak district and consoled them. Later she staged a dharna program infront of the house of the victim.

Speaking on the occasion, she demanded the state government to announce an ex-gratia amount of ₹1 crore to the family members of the victims. She alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was ruling the state as a dictator and added that there was no life for the farmers in the state due to the feudal rule of KCR. She alleged that KCR was doing politics with an aim to encourage the farmers to commit suicides. She said that the state was witnessing conditions where the farmers are killing themselves on the piles of their paddy crop.

She said that it was unfortunate that the farmer Ravi had committed suicide after writing a letter to the CM. She made it clear that KCR did not have any right to ask the farmers to not cultivate the paddy crop. Sharmila alleged that KCR was retracting from his promise of procuring even the last piece of grain of the paddy. She made it clear that minimum support price was the right of the farmers.
