Kavitha asks Bandi Sanjay to bring national festival status for Medaram Jatara
Hyderabad, Jan 25: Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha asked the Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bandi Sanjay to work hard to declare Telangana’s prestigious Medaram Sammakka Sarakka Jatara as the national festival and allocate the funds.
MLC Kavitha took to her Twitter handle and said that Telangana CM KCR sanctioned Rs 332.71 crores till now to conduct the Medaram tribal festival but the Centre failed to provide a single rupee for Medaram Sammakka Jatara from 2014. She alleged that BJP ignored the requests of the TRS government to identify Medaram Jatara as a national festival.
