Remidisivir Scam Took Place During Corona: Jagga Reddy

Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): Congress MLA T. Jagga Reddy today alleged that a huge scam related to remdisivir injections took place in the State and the country during corona pandemic period.

He also alleged that both the State and Central governments were responsible for the scam.

Speaking to media persons, the Congress leader said he had raised the issue in the wake of the political entry of Hetero drugs company founder Parthasarathy Reddy.

He said he had felt that injections had saved the lives of thousands of people during the pandemic period and added that he was wrong about it.

Referring to the raids of IT department on the offices and residences belonging to the Hetero drugs, he wondered as to what happened to the ₹500 crore found during the raids. He claimed that the injection was sold for ₹1 lakh per vial.

He asked the governments as to why they did not buy the injections and distributed to the people.
