Basara Students’ Fight is a Lesson to Govt: Narayana

Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): CPI national secretary Dr K. Narayana today said the agitation held by Basara IIIT students was a lesson to the State government.

He congratulated the students for not giving up till their demands were fulfilled and added that the students forced the State government to accept all their demands.

He expressed his happiness over forcing State Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, who termed the demands of the students as silly, to give signed written assurance to them on the fulfilment of their demands. He faulted the escaping attitude of the State government on solving the problems of the students.

The CPI leader alleged that the State government had tried to suppress the agitation programs of the students. He made it clear to the State government that the problems raised by the students were not impossible to fulfil and added that it took ten days for the State government to assure the students that it would fulfil all their demands.

He alleged that the inefficiency of the State ministers was delaying the solution of problems in the State. He alleged that all the problems of the State were solved only after the intervention of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. (Maxim News)
