He said Pawan Kalyan had never spoken against Telangana and accused political opponents of attempting to revive Telangana sentiments for political gain.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Ramchandra Rao said the issue would have ended if permission had been granted for the meeting. He asserted that holding public meetings is a democratic right and demanded an explanation from the Congress government for blocking the event.

Ramchandra Rao alleged that efforts were being made to provoke people once again in the name of Telangana sentiment. He questioned political parties over their associations with leaders and groups that had opposed Telangana in the past.
He also criticized attempts to link the BJP with the controversy surrounding Pawan Kalyan. According to him, raising such issues reflected political desperation. He said discussions intensify whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan come together.
The BJP leader further questioned the political history of rival parties. He asked who had aligned with forces that did not participate in the Telangana movement and who had given positions to individuals accused of insulting Telangana and its activists.

On governance issues, Ramchandra Rao questioned the status of the job calendar promised by the Congress government. He also raised concerns about water policies and alleged that Telangana had not received its rightful share of water resources.
