Bihar Minorities Welfare Minister lauds TMREIS Schools

Shafiullah, Secretary Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society in a press statement today stated that the Telangana State Government’s initiative of Minority Residential Schools for providing free education in English medium for minority children has been lauded by Minister of Minorities Welfare, Government of Bihar Sri Md. Zama Khan on his visit to Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) Head Office, Hyderabad on Saturday.
The Minister of Minorities Welfare Government of Bihar, Md. Zama Khan was welcomed by KoppulaEshwar, Minister for Minority Welfare, Government of Telangana, Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home, Government of Telangana and A. K. Khan, IPS (Retd.), Advisor to Government of Telangana on Minorities Affairs and President TMREIS.
Md. Zama Khan appreciated the Telangana model of residential education system. He was very impressed with the Quality of Education, Nutritious food and Hostel facilities extended to the students of TMREIS. He described Telangana Minority Residential Schools as a milestone in the development of Telangana. He appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao for bringing revolution in the form of education for the socio-economic development of minorities in the state.He expressed his confidence that TMREIS will make a big impact in building up the society in the State of Telangana and desired that more schools like TMREIS would be established in the future.
Briefing Zama Khan about the Telangana government’s welfare initiatives for minorities, Minister for Minority Welfare, Government of Telangana, Koppula Eshwar said that in terms of welfare of minorities, other states are looking to Telangana, especially in the field of their education. Many students studying in private schools were taking admission in Telangana Minorities Residential Schools because of the quality of education being imparted, he added.
Minister for Home, Government of Telangana, Mohammed Mahmood Ali apprised Md. Zama Khan of the programmes being implemented for Minorities by Telangana State government. He said that Telangana is the only State in the country that has such a large number of residential schools for children from minority sections.
A. K. Khan, Advisor to Government of Telangana on Minorities Affairs and President TMREIS explained the policies initiated by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in putting more than one lakh poor children on the path of education and career advancement under the KG to PG Mission.
B. Shafiullah, Secretary, TMREIS gave a brief presentation about the functioning of TMREIS. He reiterated that TMREIS is a brainchild of Hon’ble Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao established in all the assembly constituencies of the State with a vision to provide “Corporate Type of Free Education” for the poorest of the poor among the minority community with High Class amenities and other State Governments are studying the model of TMREIS for replication of the same in their respective States. He further added that many students are securing seats in the country’s premier educational institutions because of free intensive coaching being provided by TMREIS for various competitive examinations like IIT-JEE Mains/Advance, NEET, EAMCET (Both Engineering & Agriculture), IIIT Basar, Polycet& ICAR, CA, CPT, NDA, CU-CETon par with private and corporate colleges.
Masiullah Khan, Chairman Telangana State Wakf Board, Mohammed Saleem, Chairman Telangana State Haj Committee and Imtiaz Ishaq, Chairman Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation also were present.
