AIMIM writes to Speaker to cancel membership of MLA Raja Singh

Hyderabad, Aug.24 (Maxim News): The AIMIM party today wrote a letter to Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and urged him to cancel the membership of BJP MLA T. Raja Singh from the State Assembly.

In its letter, party president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi told the Speaker that Raja Singh got station bail by a court by citing he was not issued a notice under Section 41 (1) (a) CrPC. He also urged the Speaker to order arrest of Raja Singh once again as per law for committing several criminal offences. He told the Speaker that Raja Singh issued his controversial video with the sole objective of causing disturbance to law and order situation in the city. He also told the Speaker that the software employees of the city were worried a lot due to the developments that were witnessed by the city in the last two days. He urged the Speaker to take the video sample of Raja Singh for taking action against him.

The controversial and blasphemous comments made by Raja Singh against Prophet Muhammad have not only created nationwide, but also led to his suspension from the BJP. On the other hand, the protests against the comments of Raja Singh continued in several parts of the city and the State today. The youth of the old city came out on the roads and held the protest demanding stern action against the MLA by the State government. (Maxim News)
