Seven kg of Gold Seized at Shamshabad Airport

Hyderabad, Oct. 6 (NSS): The Customs department officials today seized a huge quantity of gold at Shamshabad airport here.

They seized seven kg of gold from the possession of three passengers, who came to the city from Dubai.

On a tip-off, the Customs officials apprehended three passengers and frisked their luggage.

They found that the luggage of the passengers carried gold in the form of gold biscuits.

The officials said the value of the seized gold is ₹3.5 crore in the open market.

Deputy Commissioner of the Customs department Ashok said they registered a case and took up an investigation. (NSS)
