Sessions court issues summons to Facebook India operations former MD

Hyderabad, Oct.11 (NSS): Ranga Reddy district sessions court for SC & ST cases has issued summons to former MD (operations) of Facebook Keerthiga Reddy in response to a petition filed by one Pradeep Manikonda, a native of the city. The court asked Reddy to appear before it on November 21 for a hearing.

In his petition, Pradeep told the court that Keerthiga Reddy has not only threatened him of facing dire consequences but also harassed him for pointing out mistakes on Facebook and fraud done by the social networking site. He also told the court that Reddy invited him for discussions and abused him verbally. He also told the court that he faces threat to his life from Keerthiga Reddy. He urged the court to take action against the accused.

Speaking to media persons at Somajiguda press club, Pradeep, who is a cyber security engineer, penetration tester, and cyber Defense consultant, said he has rich experience and added that he had pointed out the defects in the Facebook in a presentation made at Facebook’s California office. He alleged that the management of Facebook had developed a grudge against him following the exposure of the faults of Facebook.

He said the Facebook management invited him to its office in California in 2010 for a presentation and added that he made a presentation and exposed faults of the Facebook. ‘Following this, the management of the Facebook, the founder of mask Zuckerberg threatened him of filing a false case against him on the allegations of entering the office of Facebook illegally, he said, adding that Zuckerberg filed a case of civil harassment and cyber hunter against him at a court in Santa Clara of California State and added that the court had ordered him to maintain a distance of 100 feet from Zuckerberg in America after seeing the invitation received by him from the Facebook founder.

Pradeep said he challenged the verdict of the Santa Clara superior court at the California state judicial commission and filed global humiliation and defamation case for $100 million. He said he had returned to the city in 2014. He said Keerthiga Reddy called him to her office in Hyderabad in the name of holding discussions and insulted him while demanding he withdraws his case filed in America.

He said he had filed a case in Madhapur police station against Keerthiga Reddy and added that the police closed his case following pressure from Keerthiga Reddy by terming it false and without providing any information about it. He said the police also did not provide any security to him. He said he had been fighting against the management of Facebook ever since he filed an FIR against Keerthiga Reddy. He claimed that he was facing frequent attacks from the management and added that the police were not responding to his complaints. Pradeep said he was forced to file a protest petition in the district court as he did not have any option to get justice. (NSS)
