Dattatraya honours ace mountaineer Yashvanth Bhukya Naik

Hyderabad, Oct.17 (NSS): Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Monday honored an ace teenaged mountaineer Yashwanth Bhukya Naik, 18, from Mahbubabad, Telangana at Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. Dattatraya conveyed his blessings and best wishes to Naik for his next journey.

“Hailing from a poor family from Mahbubabad, Yashwanth Bhukya Naik has shown exemplary determination and perseverance in chasing his dreams as a mountaineer. Defeating all odds, he has already conquered many peaks, including Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and Mount Elbrus, Europe’s largest mountain. My best wishes and blessings for his next expedition to Mount Kosciuszko, the highest peak in Australia,” said Bandaru Dattatraya.

Yashwanth Bhukya Naik said his dream is to create a record by summiting the seven largest peaks of the seven continents. “I have climbed 6000 meters mountain in Ladakh, Yunam peak in Himachal Pradesh, Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, and recently I climbed Mount Elbrus, Europe’s largest mountain and one of the toughest journeys undertaken by me,” said Yashwanth Bhukya Naik, adding that “mountaineering is not only my dream but an aim to create a record and make my country proud. He said his ultimate dream is to join the armed forces and serve the nation. Yashwanth Bhukya Naik said his parents are the best source of inspiration for him. (NSS)
