Revanth Reddy writes open letter to Telangana people

Hyderabad, Oct.31 (NSS): TPCC chief and the party MP A. Revanth Reddy today wrote an open letter to the people of the state and urged them to take part in the ongoing padayatra of the party leader Rahul Gandhi at the historic Charminar today. He said that the padayatra would start at 3 pm at Charminar and would reach necklace road at 5 pm in the evening. He told the people that India had been under detention for the last eight years under the rule of BJP led central government. “Not only freedom of expression, even freedom of life has become extinct. Anyone who questions them is branded as a traitor. Pointing out their mistakes is a crime. The British divide and rule policy has been revived by the BJP. The daily life of people, what they eat and what they speak are also being dictated by the government. The Rupee has fallen like never before. 22 crore youth have been debilitated without employment or livelihood. Oil prices are sky-rocekting. The prices of essentials are reaching the stars. Our country has fallen to the 107th position in the hunger index,” he said.

Speaking to further, he targeted rival TRS party In the State and mocked that the TRS rule had been restricted to the farmhouse. “For eight years, TRS has supported BJP’s anarchy. The TRS party even supported the Centre’s black Farm Laws. There is no end to the destruction of democratic institutions. With the front of welfare schemes, they are resorting to unhindered exploitation. The guarantee of farm loan waiver has not been implemented. Farmer suicides continue, unabated. The guarantee of free fertilisers has been rooted out. Unemployment allowance remains a distant dream for the unemployed while the promised Government jobs continue as vacancies indefinitely,” he said.

He said that their party leader Rahul Gandhi had come forward for the sake of the country. Questioning the plight of the nation… breaking the shackles of subjugation… unifying the length and breadth of the country, Rahul Gandhi has set out on the “Bharat Jodo” march, he said.

Revanth said that the first step taken by Rahul Gandhi at Kanyakumari on September 7th had moved across states and entered Telangana on October 23rd. “Telangana people are giving the warmest of welcomes to this humanitarian leader at every step of his way. The unstoppable wave of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” is entering the historic city of Hyderabad on November 1st. Starting from Charminar at 3 pm, it will reach the grand public meeting at Necklace Road at 5 pm,” he said.

He said that the Congress party had been instrumental in Hyderabad’s meteoric rise in the fields of Information Technology and Biotechnology and added that It is an undeniable fact that the former prime minister of the country Rajiv Gandhi led India into the age of Information Technology. The Congress contribution in making Hyderabad a global city with the establishment of the International Airport and the Outer Ring Road cannot be erased by anyone, he said. (NSS)
