Gangula Kamalakar And MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra To Appear For Questioning On Dec 1

Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summon Telangana Minister for BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar and Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravinchandra in connection with a case related to a man who was allegedly taking money from people posing as a senior IPS officer, officials said, today.

The TRS leaders have been summoned to appear for questioning on Dec 1 (Thursday)

The CBI had on Monday arrested a man who had allegedly met private individuals at the Tamil Nadu Bhavan here posing as a joint director of the agency and demanded costly gifts from them, officials said.

The accused, identified as Visakhapatnam resident Kovvi Reddy Srinivas Rao, allegedly assured these individuals that he was lobbying with some unidentified public servants on their behalf to get favourable response in various matters, including in cases registered by different central investigative agencies, they said.

It is alleged that Rao allegedly met six such people after coming to the national capital on November 22 on various occasions, allegedly offering them favourable outcomes in matters pending before authorities, they said.

According to the sources, the CBI team went to Minister Gangula Kamalakar’s house today morning, at the recent Kapu Sammelan, Srinivas Rao introduced himself to Gangula Kamalar and many others as a CBI officer. The officials found that the person also took photos with Minister Gangula Kamalakar. It is learnt that a CBI team has gone to Minister Gangula Kamalakar residence in Karimnagar and given a notice to come for questioning. Gangula Kamalakar was there, the officials who spoke to his family members, inquired about many things. It is reported that the officials have inquired about the relationship between Gangula Kamalakar and Srinivas Rao. (Maxim News)
