A Coronavirus Suspect Ends Life In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A COVID-19 suspect ends life at santoshnagar in Hyderabad today. For the last few days, he was unwell and visited a few clinics for medical check-up. On Saturday afternoon, Sadiq went to a private hospital where doctors advised him a series of tests to confirm if he had contacted coronavirus.

According to the police, Syed Sadiq Ali, (38), who worked at a call centre lived along with his family at Kalandarnagar in Santoshnagar police station limits.

“After coming home Sadiq went inside his room and hanged himself to death. The family members told us the man was depressed after falling ill and suspected he was a Covid-19 positive,” said P Papaiah, sub inspector, Santoshnagar police station.

Following a complaint from the family members, the police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital, duly following Covid-19 protocol, for post-mortem. A case under Section 174 of CrPC was booked by the police and investigation taken up.
