However, in many RTC buses, conductors are issuing zero tickets only if they show updated Aadhaar.

In this sequence, a passenger questioned RTC MD VC Sajjanar on the same issue. As part of the Mahalaxmi scheme in Telangana, women can get a zero ticket if they have Aadhaar? Do they definitely need updated Aadhaar? The passenger asked Sajjanar to please confirm.

MD Sajjanar responded to this. Original Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, etc. identity cards issued by the Central and State governments can be shown to the conductors during the journey and zero tickets can be taken. VC Sajjanar clarified that Aadhaar card alone is not the standard for the implementation of the Mahalaxmi-Free Transport Facility for Women Scheme. (Maxim News)
