According to officials, the Anti Corruption Bureau conducted searches soon after the arrest. The raids were carried out at the CI’s house in Jagtial district around midnight on March 17. During these searches, officials seized a large amount of gold jewellery and Rs. 20 lakh in cash.

Meanwhile, the investigation revealed details of alleged illegal collections. It was confirmed that while working in Vemulawada, the officer had collected Rs. 10,000 per month from a jaggery merchant. The payments were reportedly made through Phone Pay. Therefore, officials are now examining the digital transaction trail as part of the probe.
