Hyderabad, June 3: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple properties linked to suspended former police officer Bhujanga Rao in connection with allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches were carried out at around 15 locations in Hyderabad and other places as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to sources, ACB officials searched residences and properties belonging to Bhujanga Rao, his family members, and close relatives.
Investigators are examining financial records, property documents, and other materials to verify allegations that the former officer accumulated assets beyond his legitimate income.
Bhujanga Rao was earlier suspended by the Telangana government over his alleged involvement in the phone tapping case, which emerged following an investigation into alleged surveillance activities by certain police officials.

The latest raids are focused on assessing the extent of assets linked to the former officer and determining whether they are disproportionate to his declared earnings.
Officials are also scrutinising documents and evidence collected during the searches to establish the source of the assets under investigation.
The ACB has not yet released an official statement on the findings of the raids. Further investigation is underway.
