Adluri Laxman Kumar | Hyderabad, Oct 8: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar clarified his stance after a controversy erupted over his alleged remarks against Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, calling the reports misleading and taken out of context.
Speaking to the scribes, Ponnam described Adluri as “an elder brother” and said their bond goes beyond politics. “We have shared a friendship and mutual respect within the Congress Party for over 30 years. That relationship remains strong and will continue,” he said.

Ponnam stressed that he never made any personal comments against Adluri and, as a grassroots leader from the BC community, he would never hold such views about anyone. He alleged that politically motivated individuals twisted his remarks to create unnecessary misunderstandings.
Expressing regret over the situation, Ponnam said he was deeply saddened that Adluri was hurt due to false interpretations. He reiterated that both of them remain united under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and will continue to work together for social justice and the welfare of the people.
