Advocate killed in Mulugu

Mulugu, August 2: Advocate Mulagundla Malla Reddy (58) of Hanamkonda was killed by unidentified persons on Monday in Mulugu.

The lawyer visited Mulugu Collectorate on Monday to discuss legal matters, and at around 6.30 p.m., he was on his way back to Hanamkonda. Near the Pandikunta bus stop in Mulugu mandal, the accused dashed his car from behind as he followed the advocate in a car. When Malla Reddy approached them and asked why they dashed his car. One of the accusers requested an apology. When Malla Reddy was returning to his car, four persons dragged the advocate to the nearby bushes and stabbed him to death. Meanwhile, another two persons hold the car driver of the advocate. Later, the five accused escaped from there.

Police officers from Mulugu, including ASP Sudhir Ramnath Kekan and SP Sangram Singh G Patil, examined the crime scene. Mulugu SI Onkar Yadav stated that they are looking into the matter from all angles and that special squads have been put together to find the murderers.

Information indicates that Malla Reddy has recently visited the offices of the Mulugu Collector and Tahsildar to discuss land issues. In the Mallampalli village of Mulugu mandal, Malla Reddy operates a petrol bunker and owns farmland, quarries, and other lands. These territories were the subject of judicial cases.

Malla Reddy has wife and two daughters.
