Hyderabad, Mar 7 (Maxim News): Ahmedabad-based child supplier Vandana, who had allegedly supplied children to Hyderabad-based child supplier Krishnaveni, was arrested by the Rachakonda police.
She was brought to Hyderabad on a prisoner transit warrant and produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody. The Rachakonda police have further filed a petition seeking her custody to question her in connection with the child selling racket which was busted in February last week.
Investigations revealed that Vandana was sending children through agents by rail and road routes to Hyderabad. Over the last two months, she had reportedly sent four children to Krishnaveni to be sold to prospective childless couples.
The Rachakonda police busted the child-selling racket on February 25 and rescued four children, including a seven-day-old boy, who was allegedly being trafficked to Hyderabad in a private bus.
