Hyderabad, March 1: KLH Bachupally Campus convened the AI Student Summit 2026 on 27 and 28 February, bringing together more than 3,500 students from across India. The national level event featured the 24 Hour Hackathon titled Hack with AI as its flagship programme. The KLH ACM Student Chapter organized the summit and reported participation from over 750 teams.
The summit was graced by Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Council of Higher Education, as the Chief Guest. The event created a structured platform for academic and industry engagement. It combined keynote sessions, AI innovation showcases, and an intensive hackathon under one roof.
National Participation at Hack with AI 24 Hour Hackathon
During the Hack with AI 24 Hour Hackathon, student teams built application driven AI solutions. They focused on current societal and industrial challenges. Participants worked in teams and moved from problem identification to solution design. They then developed functional prototypes within a strict 24 hour timeline. As a result, the event maintained a high energy and performance driven environment throughout.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Hirelexa, DEET, TSARO Labs, Regen, Quadric IT, and Global Degree. Senior representatives from these organisations mentored the teams. They offered technical inputs and strategic guidance. The industry mentors included Mr. Vamsi Reddy, Additional Director Corporate Relations, DEET, Mr. Vamsi, Founder, Hirelexa, Ms. Prashanthi, Chief Technology Officer, HIrelexa, Mr. Priyatham, Director Digital Innovation, Quadric IT, Ms. Manju, Vice President, Regen, Mr. Niranjan, Managing Partner, Regen, and Mr. SaiRam, Senior SOLUTIONS Architect, TsaroLabs. Their guidance focused on scalability, deployment feasibility, and industry relevance.
Industry Collaboration and Academic Leadership at AI Student Summit 2026
The summit received support from the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana as Supporting Partner. Quadric IT Simplify served as the Title Sponsor. Global Degrees joined as education partner along with other industry collaborators. Together, they supported the smooth execution of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President, KL Deemed to be University remarked, “The scale of participation and the quality of solutions presented during the hackathon reflect the growing AI proficiency among students. Platforms such as the AI Student Summit create structured avenues for translating classroom knowledge into real-world impact, while enabling meaningful engagement with industry leaders.”
Later, the summit concluded with expert keynote addresses and a panel discussion on the future of Artificial Intelligence in India. The discussion also examined emerging innovation trends and workforce readiness in an AI driven economy. The initiative was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. L Koteswara rao, with Dr. Muniraju Naidu serving as Faculty Convener. The ACM KLH Bachupally Student Chapter, a fully student led body, coordinated the event and continues to conduct technical and innovation programmes across Telangana.
