Ajit Pawar death triggers nationwide grief, Telangana leaders mourn
Hyderabad, Jan. 28 (Maxim News): The death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on Wednesday morning triggered widespread grief across India, with political leaders cutting across party lines expressing condolences.
Ajit Pawar died when the aircraft he was travelling in crashed near Baramati in Pune district.
His mortal remains were shifted to a hospital, where large numbers of party leaders, supporters, and members of the public gathered to pay their respects. Scenes of grief were witnessed as supporters mourned the loss of a senior leader.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In a post on X, he said the news of Ajit Pawar’s death had deeply shaken him.
He described the incident as extremely painful and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, urging them to remain strong during the difficult time.
Telangana political leaders express condolences
BRS president and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao also condoled Ajit Pawar’s death. He said the passing of such a prominent leader was deeply distressing and described it as an irreparable loss to Maharashtra politics.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao recalled Ajit Pawar’s long public life and strong connection with the people. He said Ajit Pawar began his journey in public life through farmers’ movements and rose to become a key political figure. K Tarak Rama Rao added that his demise had left a void that would be difficult to fill.
Several ministers and opposition leaders in Telangana also expressed condolences, highlighting Ajit Pawar’s role in state and national politics. Messages of sympathy continued to pour in as investigations into the plane crash progressed. (Maxim News)
