Ajit Pawar plane crash: Mamata Banerjee seeks Supreme Court probe

West Bengal / Hyderabad, Jan. 28 (Maxim News): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday raised suspicion over the Ajit Pawar plane crash, calling for a Supreme Court monitored investigation into the incident.

Reacting to the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the plane crash, Mamata Banerjee said the news left her deeply shocked. 

Banerjee stated that the incident raised serious concerns about the safety of political leaders in the country. Therefore, she demanded an independent probe under the supervision of the Supreme Court, stating that she trusted only the apex court.

Mamata Banerjee said she had no faith in other investigating agencies, alleging that they had lost their independence. 

CM Banerjee also referred to recent speculation that Ajit Pawar was reconsidering his political alignment, adding that all angles must be examined in the Ajit Pawar plane crash.

Meanwhile, several political leaders echoed the demand for a transparent inquiry into the Ajit Pawar plane crash. 

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi expressed condolences to X and urged authorities to ensure a fair and comprehensive investigation into the incident. (Maxim News)
