Owaisi said he sought information through an RTI application on payments made to the company after the Congress government came to power.

He alleged that the information was not provided and said he approached the court over the matter.

Owaisi questioned why the Rs 1,400 crore contract was not distributed among smaller contractors.

He said smaller contractors also needed government work to sustain their businesses.
