- Ali Larijani warns Donald Trump of retaliation over Khamenei death
- Ali Larijani claims US soldiers captured amid Iran retaliation
Hyderabad: Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, has issued a strong warning to US President Donald Trump over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Larijani said Trump would pay a heavy price for Khamenei’s death and vowed retaliation.
Larijani, who is described as one of Khamenei’s closest aides, posted the warning on Twitter. In the post, he said the United States should leave Trump alone and that he must face consequences for the death of the Iranian leader. The statement came amid continuing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
According to Larijani, the attacks led to the deaths of several people, including their leader. He said the situation was serious and not an ordinary matter. Therefore, he warned that Iran would take appropriate revenge for the loss.
Larijani said the country would respond strongly to what it described as aggression. He also stated that Iran’s retaliatory attacks on the United States and Israel were continuing as tensions remained high.
Meanwhile, Larijani made another claim regarding the ongoing conflict. In a separate post, he said Iranian forces had captured many American soldiers during the war. He claimed that the captured soldiers were being held as hostages in prisons.
Larijani also criticised President Donald Trump’s remarks about casualties during the conflict. He accused Trump of making false statements about the number of American soldiers killed in Iranian attacks.
According to Larijani, Trump said that only six US soldiers had died in Iranian attacks. However, Larijani alleged that the actual number was much higher. He further claimed that the United States was increasing the death toll later through accidents and fabricated incidents.
Later, while speaking to local media about the ongoing conflict, Larijani repeated that Iran’s retaliatory attacks on the United States and Israel were continuing.
Larijani also referred to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by US forces. He said the United States had wanted to end the war in Iran quickly, similar to the situation in Venezuela, but that attempt had failed.
However, US officials rejected Larijani’s claims. A spokesperson for the US Central Command denied the allegations that American soldiers had been captured.
The CENTCOM spokesperson told media that Larijani’s remarks were further evidence of what they described as lies and deception by the Iranian government.
The exchange of accusations highlights the rising tensions between Iran and the United States as the conflict continues to escalate.
