Alia Bhatt: There are no weekends for actors
How often do you go out?
I don’t get the time. There are no weekends for actors, so it’s usually when I am not shooting, or on my birthday, that I party with close friends.
What’s your go-to drink?
I am not much into drinking, but I love to sip on fine wine.
Who are your favourite people to party with?
I am not choosy, but I need to know the people I’m going out with. Normally, it’s school friends. I also hang out a lot with Ayan (Mukerji) and Karan (Johar), since I am really close to them.
What’s the song that drags you to the dance floor?
It keeps changing. There was a time when I would just come running from anywhere, and strike my thumkas, whenever I’d hear Balam Pichkari (from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani).
What has been your greatest extravagance for a glamorous event?
I don’t need to spend on my wardrobe. I am an actress, and I get clothes for free (laughs).
Which place, best known for its nightlife, you wish you could live in?
I am not into clubbing. I love visiting funky restaurants and bars, so for me, London would be the ideal place for nightlife.
Which historical/world figure would you want to meet at a bar and why?
Shakespeare. I’d like to see how he orders his drink.
