All arrangements made for Bonalu festival in Sec’bad on July 17 & Old city on July 24: Talasani

Hyderabad, July 7 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said they have been making all arrangements on grand scale for the Bonalu festival in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad every year in the Telugu month of Ashadam. But they could not do so in the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to mediapersons at his Masab Tank office here, Srinivas Yadav said this year the State government made all arrangements for the two-day Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu festival in Secunderabad to be held from July 17 and also Old City bonalu festival on July 24. The minister said Mahankali Ammavari procession will be taken out on July 18 and all temples’ procession will be held on July 25.

Srinivas Yadav said they have arranged cultural programs under the aegis of the Cultural department at the major temples in the twin cities. A cultural program with 500 artistes has been arranged at Charminar. They will also arrange elaborate bandobust in the twin cities after receipt of information that more number of devotees would participate in Bonalu festival this year, he added. (Maxim News)
