All arrangements will be made for Vinayaka Chavithi festival: Mayor

Hyderabad, September 06: City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that all arrangements will be made in Greater Hyderabad city to celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi festival. On the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi festival, a coordination meeting on Ganesh festival arrangements with representatives of Police, HMDA, R&B, Metro, Water Board, Health, Fire Department, GHMC along with Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, Commissioner Ronald Rose, representatives of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Festival Committee was held at GHMC headquarters on Wednesday. It was presided over by Gadwal Vijayalakshmi.

Earlier, the GHMC Commissioner said that measures will be taken so that the residents of the city can celebrate the eye festival on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi festival. He said that everyone should cooperate in this matter.

On this occasion, Mater Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that all the necessary arrangements will be made in the city without any shortage during the Vinayaka Chavithi festival. The representatives of Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Committee said that they will take into consideration all the points suggested and make all the arrangements. Statistics Mobile Cranes by HMDA has been ordered to set up the necessary cranes than last year. Mayor said that arrangements will be made for road barricade, sanitation, public toilets, mobile tree cutting, pruning, health camps, boats, swimmers, continuous electricity supply, street lights, pot halls, road repairs, fire extinguishers, drinking water supply etc.

HMDA: Tank Bund by HMDA, 7 platforms at NTR Marg, 14 platforms at Tank Bund, 8 cranes at People’s Plaza, 7 platforms towards Buddha Bhavan, Helipad at Sanjeevayya Park by HMDA. He said that cranes will be installed at the pond and besides one lakh clay Ganesh idols will be distributed free of charge at 20 places.

Water Board: Drainage cleaning, man halls repairs, drinking water supply, necessary water packets, water cans, 162 section, 122 location set up. Provision of water through vehicle tanks during immersion and also during rally. The drainage repair work which is going on here and there has been completed rapidly.

Medical Health Department:

Establishment of medical camps at main junctions in Hyderabad district along with necessary medicines and providing emergency treatment in coordination with Ambulance Private Hospital, similarly Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Sangareddy. Actions for setting up District Collectors. Instructions to Zonal Commissioners to set up tents at health camps.

Fire Department:

6 Firefighting expeditions are organized at 79 places under the division, at the control room,

R&B Department

Setting up of barricading at immersion sites and main rally locations

Department of Electricity

Provision of uninterrupted power supply, distribution transformer and more. Cut branches of trees through power lines and remove them immediately.

GHMC Sanitation:

10,500 sanitation workers will be arranged in three shifts, removal of idols as a matter of honor during the immersion, and proper movement of the idols removed from the immersion water so that they do not fall on the road. Regular cleaning of mobile, public toilet, steps taken by Zonal Commissioners to identify and listen to government offices during idol processions, Ganesh Mandapams, strong sanitation measures during processions.

Engineering Maintenance:

A total of 74 immersion pools in the city for Ganesh immersion, portable immersion baby ponds at 24 locations,

Setting up of 27 baby ponds, 23 accelerators.

Distribution of Clay Idols

Free distribution of 3.10 lakh clay idols by corporates under GHMC.

Boats/Swimmer

Apart from DRF 453 personnel, 33 ponds and 100 yard swimming pools have been set up.

Installation of LED bulbs during immersion, mandapams and processions.

Road Repairs

Pot halls and road repairs should be completed at zone level. Roads other than the main road (CRMP) are also being repaired and steps are being taken as identified by the Pat Halls Police Department.

On the occasion of Balapur Ganesh idol procession, Ranga Reddy District Collector should take steps to repair roads in GHMC and repair roads in other municipalities.

Instructions by Bhagya Nagar Ganesh Utsav Committee

Free water supply during prasadam by charitable organizations

Drainage should be kept clean.

Repair works should be completed without the hassle of procession on main roads.

Pooja materials near the mandap should be removed immediately. Removed waste should be disposed of immediately.

Crane drivers should work in 3 shifts. Diesel should be ready.

Immersed idols should be removed respectfully. While moving from there, the parts should be taken properly without dropping them here and there.

Clay Ganesh idols should be given to every house.

Opportunity to use toilets in government offices on the way of idol procession. Along with that, a banner is also arranged.

Establishment of necessary ladders by GHMC for removal of branches of trees touching electric wires. Steps should also be taken to install street lights in the same way.

Arrangement of water trolley and water supply for the devotees during the procession.

Endowment Minister and Secretary should be present on the occasion of Hindu festival.

Government should announce specific date for Ganesh Pratistha.

Formation of WhatsApp group for coordination with Police, GHMC officials and committee members at circle level.

Construction of water till immersion in Malkajagiri pond should be done without traffic problem.

Road repairs should be undertaken from Balapur to Hussain Sagar. Road repairs should also be undertaken in Dhul Pate.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of GHMC, heads of various departments, general secretary of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee Bhagwan Rao, representatives from various divisions and others.
