All Set For Local Body Elections In Telangana: Ponguleti

Khammam/Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, said that the field is ready for the local body elections. He said that the notification for the local body elections will be issued by the end of this month. He said that the election dates will be announced soon.

Minister Ponguleti today visited Kusumanchi in Khammam district and participated in several development programs. Later, he gave directions to key leaders on several key issues at the Kusumanchi MLA camp office. He said that a decision will be taken on the local body elections in tomorrow’s (June 16) cabinet meeting. He revealed that the MPTC and ZPTC elections will be held first. Minister Ponguleti stated that the Sarpanch and Muncipal elections will be held later.

Minister Ponguleti said that there should be unity among the leaders in the villages. He asked the leaders to give first priority to solving the public problems. He said that there are only 15 more days left for the elections. Therefore, if there are small shortcomings in the respective villages, they should be corrected and prepared for the elections. Minister Ponguleti clarified that only those candidates who have a high chance of winning the elections will be selected based on reservations.

He announced that within the next week. All eligible farmer brothers will be given farmers’ insurance from Kunta for all acres, no matter how many acres they have. He said that the farmers’ bonus will be deposited in their bank accounts for the preparations. He said that the responsibility of conveying the need for welfare schemes to the people lies with the local leaders. Minister Ponguleti urged the leaders to not only sanction Indiramma houses to the beneficiaries in their villages, but also to take the responsibility of completing their construction.
