All set for Presidential Elections 2022

Hyderabad, July 17 (Maxim News): All set for the election of 16th President of the country on Monday. All arrangements for the polling in Parliament House and legislatures of all States have been completed.

According to the officials, mock polling will begin at 8 am and the polling for election of President will be held from 10 am to 5 pm. The Election Commission has supplied specially made pens for the electors to exercise their franchise. The EC officials will give the special pen to the voter while handing over the ballot paper so that they can exercise their franchise with the pen. If any member uses any other pen, his or vote will be rejected and announced while counting the votes.

The polling arrangements for election of President have been completed in the two Telugu States. In Hyderabad, two voting compartments have been arranged in the Assembly committee hall No. 1, Assembly Buildings, Public Gardens. Chief Election Officer Vikas Raj inspected the premises on Sunday and conferred with the Legislature secretary. In Hyderabad Assembly premises, 119 legislators of Telangana and one MLA representing Kandukuru constituency in Andhra Pradesh will exercise their franchise.

In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Committee Hall No 1, the EC officials made all arrangements for the polling. 174 MLAs of AP will exercise their franchise. Twenty five members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members will participate in the polling. The Election Commission deputed over 50 officials to supervise the polling for election of 16th President of India.

Meanwhile, Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, who has been appointed as ‘Observer’ for the Telangana visited the Assembly on Sunday. Telangana Legislature Secretary said the Observer visited the polling station and store room situated on the first floor of the Assembly building. Dwivedi also interacted with Telangana Legislature Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu, Presiding Officer Ch. Upender Reddy and Assistant returning officer VN Prasanna Kumari. (Maxim News)
