Hyderabad, April 17 (Maxim News):  All the meat shops in Hyderabad will be closed on April 21 (Sunday) due to Mahavir Jayanti.

The GHMC Commissioner has issued an order to close all meat shops and slaughterhouses in the city on Sunday.  With this, the meat shops in Bhagyanagar will be closed on Sunday.

It is known that Mahavir Jayanti is the most important festival for Jains.  GHMC has taken this decision due to the significant number of Jains in Hyderabad city. Whereas in Hyderabad city there is a significant number of meat sales.  Along with the large population of the city, thousands of hotel and restaurant owners also purchase huge quantities of meat products every day,  It is known that this activity will be more on Sunday.  (Maxim News)
