Allahabad High Court Allowed Survey In Gyanvapi Mosque

Allahabad/Hyderabad, Aug 3 (Maxim News): The Allahabad High Court today allowed the survey of Gyanvapi Mosque. It said that the survey is necessary to reveal the facts.

The petition filed by the Anjukman Intejam Committee was dismissed. The district court upheld the judgment in favor of the survey. with this, the Hindu party expressed happiness by chanting “Hara Hara Mahadev”

The High Court ruled that the Archaeological Survey of India should conduct a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid. It has been clarified that no damage should be done to the structures while doing the survey. ASI said that there will be no damage to the structures during the survey. Meanwhile, the Muslim side has said that it will challenge this verdict in the Supreme Court. The Hindu side said that Muslims have the power and rights to challenge the Supreme Court and expressed confidence that justice will prevail.

It may be recalled that some women approached the Varanasi Court to allow them to worship Hindu goddesses and gods in the Gyanvapi Masjid. In the past, it was a Hindu temple and they wanted to allow them to worship the goddess every day. With this, the court ordered a videographic survey in 2022. A structure was found in this survey. Hindus say it is a Shiva Lingam, while Muslims say it is a fountain. The Supreme Court ordered to seal the area where the Shiv Lingam is located. The Mosque committee argued that petitions filed by Hindu women seeking permission to worship Hindu goddesses and deities on the Mosque premises were not admissible. It was dismissed by the Varanasi district court in September 2022.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a recent interview with a news agency, questioned what the Trishul was doing in the Mosque. He said that the dispute is that Gyanvapi is called a Mosque. (Maxim News)
