Hyderabad, Dec.2 (Maxim News): Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, along with MLA Kranthi Kiran today participated in Haritha Haram program at MLA Colony in Banjara Hills. He planted a sapling and named it Disha and vowed to protect it to mark the murder of veterinarian Priyanka Reddy.
On the occasion, he praised showers that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has started the flagship Haritha Haram to expand green cover. In addition to several welfare schemes, the government has taken up irrigation projects on a massive scale.
The Chief Minister aims to irrigate 1.20 crore acres by completing all projects in Telangana, he claimed. He called upon the people to participate in green drive and protect environment from pollution problem. KCR government has turned highways by planting saplings for better environment, he added.
