Amar Subramaniam, an Indian technologist with long experience in artificial intelligence, has been appointed as the new Vice President of Apple’s Artificial Intelligence division. He completed his engineering degree at Bangalore University in 2001. Later, he earned a PhD in computer science from the University of Washington. He joined Google in 2009 as a staff research scientist and rose to the level of vice president during his tenure. Apple believes his leadership will help shape its long-term approach to responsible AI and advanced model development.
