Referring to the report, Kavitha described the fiscal condition as alarming. She said it reflects systemic mismanagement in governance. She recalled that before coming to power, Congress leaders had promised to “create wealth and distribute it among the poor.” However, she claimed that the government has instead relied heavily on borrowings.

According to Kavitha, the administration has been borrowing frequently from the Reserve Bank of India during the 2024–25 financial year. She termed this trend a serious concern. She also stated that raising ₹1.30 lakh crore in loans within a single year shows a lack of fiscal discipline. Meanwhile, she pointed out that ₹6,000 crore of these borrowings remained unpaid even after the financial year ended.

Kavitha further said that the state generates about ₹12,000 crore in monthly revenue. However, she alleged that the government has failed to maintain even a minimum daily balance for essential expenses. Therefore, she questioned the financial management practices of the administration.

She also highlighted that the state’s total debt has reached ₹8.65 lakh crore. She claimed this places an estimated burden of nearly ₹9 lakh on every household. In this context, she said projecting a “surplus budget” is misleading to the public. She asserted that the CAG report has exposed the financial mismanagement and called for corrective steps.

Meanwhile, Kavitha raised concerns over farmers affected by untimely rains. She said districts such as Jagityal, Karimnagar, Siddipet, and Nirmal have seen crop damage at a critical stage before harvest. Crops like maize and mangoes reportedly fell across hundreds of acres. In addition, sesame, turmeric, and paddy suffered heavy losses.

She described the situation as devastating and urged the government to act quickly. She called for proper damage assessment and immediate compensation to affected farmers. She stressed that relief must reach every farmer without delay.
